Dementia
Promotes an understanding of drug awareness in the workplace. Looks specifically at classifications, responsibility, accountability, and administration and monitoring effects of medication
Looks at who this affects, the different types, when it occurs and how to recognise the signs. Treatments such as therapies and drugs are also analysed.
To understand current legislation pertaining to medicine their uses and effects. To learn procedures for handling medication and recording information correctly.
 
 
To help recognise signs and promote and develop an understanding of Dementia. As well as looking at strategies for caring. Allows learners to develop a good understanding of dementia and crucially shows effective care strategies and how to support friends and relatives.
 
 
 
 
 
Equality and Diversity
Gives an understanding of the issues surrounding equality and diversity in the workplace and helps individuals deal with these common issues according to official procedures. Develops the awareness of people who may be discriminated against so issues can be resolved quickly.
Aims to define both diversity and equality and their effects in the workplace. Provides the differences between people as well as what people have in common making any issues easier to deal with.
Manual Handling
Looks at the processes of manual handling, assessment and control options, key legislation, injuries and activities that cause them linking with practical techniques. Makes individuals aware of their own obligations as well as others.
Provide knowledge of issues involved in manual lifting and moving. Provides staff with knowledge they need to prevent injury to themselves and their clients.
Infection Control
Demonstrates the importance and promotes good hygiene practices in the workplace to reduce risk of spreading infections. Highlights regulations and guidelines relating to controlling infection.
The aim is to promote safe practice to reduce risk of infections spreading making the workplace safer. Helps to reduce risk of infections to individuals, their families and importantly people whom are paid to care for.
Communication
Looks at the importance of communication in the workplace by seeing it as a daily activity. Identifies the many different types of communication and develops these skills so overall communication in the workplace between individuals will improve.
Provides information about communication and how it is more advanced that basic verbal communication. Aims to gather enough knowledge to help completion of underpinning knowledge for HSC 21.
Fire Awareness
Training covers all legal requirements, the fire triangle, causes of fire, basic fire prevention, actions to be taken in the event of fire and different types of fire extinguishers. Looks at evacuation procedures and how to react in the event of any danger making the work environment safer.
The overall aim is to train members of staff to recognise the importance of fire safety and how to act in an emergency. Provides the necessary information relating to fire safety according to updated laws.
First Aid
Covers indispensable first aid skills including; Recovery Position, Resuscitation techniques, control of bleeding, treatment of burns, eye injuries, major illness and miscellaneous conditions. Gives individuals the skills and confidence to act in a first aid response. 
Aims to instruct individuals and show and demonstrate the essential skills that are required in given first aid situations. The course updates companies and delegates on changes in First Aid legislation.
Food Hygiene
An in-depth food safety course covering legislation, bacteriology, food contamination and its prevention, food storage and temperature control design and construction.
The course has been specifically designed to comply with the new regulations enforced from January 2006. Provides learners will the knowledge to handle food in a hygienic manor.
Self Administration of Medicines
Allows candidates to understand areas of medicines and how they work, accountability of such medicines, identify drug errors and understand the levels of support required by service users.
The overriding aim is to instruct all candidates how to administer medicines safely. Understand the levels of support required by service users and how they can be used differently in situations.
Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool
M.U.S.T
The course allows learners to develop an awareness of what is malnutrition and how the use of the malnutrition universal screening tool can identify those services users at risk, and what measures can help promote good nutrition. 
It aims to identify those who potentially at risk of malnutrition. Promotes a good standard of nutrition in residential and nursing homes eventually improving overall health. Allows learners to become familiar with using the M.U.S.T system effectively.
Protection of Vulnerable Adults POVA
The course outlines what abuse is, who are vulnerable adults and why it can happen and what to do if the situation occurs. The seven types of abuse are addressed including physical, financial, psychological and discriminatory abuse and how to deal with them. 
To refresh staff on the important issue of abuse against vulnerable adults in order to provide a better quality of care. Aims to try and recognise the signs to prevent such abuse. Specifically looks at individual’s responsibility in relation to abuse to ensure that the right level of care is provided efficiently by the carer.
Internal verification
Looks at the role and responsibilities of the IV course. All learners from the course will develop and have a good understanding and working knowledge of verification procedures and practices
Overall, provides information to enable the understanding of quality assurance policies and procedures in line with the V1 national standards
Care of the Dying
Gives the learner the skills required to care for dying people and helps to support friends and family as well as the patient. Looks at understanding the involvement if the M.D.T in caring for the dying patient.
Aims to promote excellent care of those that are dying. Looks at the available care pathways and caring for someone in the last days, ensuring they receive the best support.
Mental Capacity Act
Promotes the knowledge of the mental capacity act and shows the impact that this will have on caring of patients. Gives learners the skills essential for these situations. 
Defines mental capacity and looks at the rights of people under the mental capacity act. How the act impacts on care in order to provide better care for patients.
Medication Control
Promotes the knowledge of drug administration looking at preparation and procedures for medicine administration. Looks at responsibilities including best practices, record keeping and any potential side effects. 
Aims to identify medicines and legislation, classification and categories of medicines, administration and monitoring the effects of medication, responsibility and accountability as well as storage and disposals of medicines.
Conflict Handling De Escalation
Looks at the conflicting issues in the work place to include why this occurs, health and safety, legal aspects aggression management, physical intervention and communication.
Looks at work related stress outlined in the course and how to deal with it effectively resulting in a more efficient workplace. 
CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
Highlights the importance of good personal hygiene and how to operate in a effective manor.
Increases and develops knowledge and awareness in the understanding of correct handling, storage and preparation practises.
CIEH Intermediate certificate in food safety
An in-depth food safety course (C.I.E.H syllabus) covering bacteriology, food borne illness, food contamination and its prevention, food storage and temperature control.
Aims to cover personal hygiene, legislation and supervisory management allowing individuals to have all the necessary information relating to guidelines
CIEH Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points is a recognised and recommended system of food safety management.
Aims to provide information to make to workplace a safer environment by looking at the critical control points in a process where food safety ‘hazards’ could arise and putting in place steps to prevent things going wrong.
Health & Safety Awareness
Looks at improving workplace, personal safety, fire and electrical safety making the workplace a safer place to work.
Aims to provides information regarding the current legislation surrounding health and safety issues.
Basic Food Safety Course Level 1
Enables candidates to understand how to keep themselves clean and hygienic, how to keep their work area clean and the role that they play in reducing contamination. 
Benefits anyone working in food situations. The programme focuses on the information that employees need to know before they start work in a food environment or as part of an induction.
Professional Trainer Certificate
Looks in detail at the selection and use of appropriate learning materials and methods, effective guidance and support, effective question techniques, analysing skills and delivery methods.
This course is targeted towards staff responsible for training and work relative directives. Aims to cover planning course content to include aims and objectives.
Pressure Area Care
The course looks at causes of pressure sores, the signs and symptoms including early warning signs and prevention techniques.

Epilepsy Awareness

A1 (Assessor)
The course includes a holistic observation, us of Professional discussion, questioning, testimony and reflective practice.
An assessors award for those who assess NVQ candidates covering a full range of assessment methods.
NVQ Level 3: Health and Social Care
Designed for people working with individuals supporting them and assisting them in their physical or emotional care, their daily living needs or maintaining their independence.
This qualification is a work orientated qualification and is aimed at people who work on their own or without direct supervision and those who supervise or mentor staff.
NVQ Level 4: Health and Social Care
Designed for people working with individuals supporting them and assisting them in their physical or emotional care, their daily living needs or maintaining their independence
This level 4 NVQ is aimed at people in supervisory or management positions.
NVQ Level 4: Leadership and Management
Replaces the RMA
This award is suitable for candidates who develop, maintain and evaluate systems and structures to benefit others, manage a service within the sector, manage financial resources, activities and projects and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
